What do Robert Bixby, Stuart Butler, Douglas Elmendorf, and David Walker have in common other than the commonality of sharing no specific political leaning?
Well, they are all experts in their fields and vastly concerned with the direction the US Economy is taking. They joined together nearly two years ago to start spreading the message that if the course does not change big problems lay ahead for the US Economy. With a federal deficit over 8 trillion dollars, the Senates approval in 06 to raise the Federal Debt Limit to 9 Trillion dollars and nothing that could be considered a "decrease" of spending since then, its clear America has some big issues on its plate.
This "Fiscal Wake-Up Tour" as these men have dubbed their very serious lecture tour, has plans to ratchet up their efforts in the coming months. Their hope is that they will be able to help wedge in more economic and fiscal policy concerns into the general publics conscience as well as the upcoming election season.
We all know this guy is listenging, but is anyone else?

Ron Paul has created an amazing buzz in the political realm with his astonishing 4.2 million dollars raised on Nov. 5th.
The Media is no longer able to ignore Dr. Ron Paul or label him a fringe candidate. People are hearing his message and many are agreeing with his stances.
America is over stretched, over taxed and not safe. Dr. Paul can fix these issues and correct the path of our Country. He can do this by getting our congress and our mission back in touch with our constitution and back in touch with the principles that made our country so great to begin with.
Ron Paul is my candidate for the Republican nomination and for president in 2008. Here are a few links that have popped up since His massive fundraising efforts yesterday. Some of them are neutral, some are positive and some continue to show BIG MEDIAS biased and unprofessional reporting. Read them and decide for yourself. Is the media really providing you with the correct information and are they doing it objectively?

I have already donated to Rob Pauls campaign but I wanted to get the word out about this event that is being organized. While they may not raise a full 10 million dollars I have no doubt that it could be an excellent boost to Dr. Pauls campaign and to the ideals of the constitution…..
Please join us this November 5th for the largest one-day political donation event in history. Our goal is to bring together 100,000 Ron Paul supporters to donate $100 each, creating a one day donation total of $10,000,000!
www.thisnovember5th.com
There are currently 18,000 people signed up to thisnovember5th, and will likely be 20,000 by November 5th.
Add that to the 76,000 plus Ron Paul friends on Myspace and we have nearly 100,000 people pledging to donate $100, totaling $10,000,000 in one day. The largest one-day fundraising of any presidential candidate in history!
Do you realize the POWER and SIGNIFICANCE of this?
We’ll raise $10,000,000 but the publicity will be worth TEN TIMES that!
Friends, I can assure you that if we pull this off, if we raise ten million dollars in one day, it will blow the lid off. Godzilla henceforth would be in the debates. Do you think that’s worth a hundred bucks?
Donations are to be made
ONLY at the Official Ron Paul website
at www.RonPaul2008.com.
Sincerely,
Fellow Ron Paul Supporter

Two Senior Democrats sell out the U.S Constitution and the U.S People after agreeing to confirm Mukasey
The man refuses to say that water-boarding is torture when it is clearly labeled as such by our own government and countless other organizations including other governments and international agencies.
Mukasey refuses to say its torture not being he lacks a security clearance but because he doesn’t want to open Mr. Bush and his cronies to the legal battle that would ensue when the extent of Bush’s “interrogation” processes are discovered.
Again, America’s elected officials act in a manner unbecoming to their country by under minding the laws they helped to create.
My only question is… what dirt did the Reps / the White house dig up to “change” these Democrats minds? What special backroom deal totally screwed over the American way of life and high ideals?

I guess its a bit of both….
If an Army General had a meeting about our Soldiers forced deployments to Iraq and asked for open comments he MIGHT get the same type of reaction that Harry Thomas, the Foreign Service Director General received at a meeting held on Wed. The meeting was in regards to the forced Iraq work assignments for 75 US Diplomats.
But the truth of the matter is that, like Soldiers, US Diplomats pledge an oath to do their work and to serve the “needs of the US Government”. Unlike Soldiers however, these people can refuse, leave their jobs, and seek employment elsewhere.
I think they need to stop complaining and either go, or find a new job. I’m sure the soldiers over in Iraq wish they had that option.
It strikes me as funny that we have been at “war” (and I define war as a time in which there are American Soldiers fighting and dieing at the order of the president) for nearly 5 years and when some other American citizens are asked to sacrifice, a big oh ub-bub is thrown…. Heavan forbid other Americans help to improve the situation.
One US Diplomat, Jack Croddy said…
“I’m sorry, but basically that’s a potential death sentence and you know it. Who will raise our children if we are dead or seriously wounded?”
Well…. who takes care of the children of our fallen soldiers? If you feel that strongly about not going over there then maybe you should work harder towards getting us out!
Bush should have had twice the number of diplomats over there from the beginning any how. The real reason we have lost this battle is because it was treated merely like a military conquest and not the humanitarian and diplomatic situation it really was.
Oh, and by the way… not a single US Diplomat has been killed in Iraq… I guess thats because of all those amazing brave Soldiers over there doing their job and doing it well.
