Ah, here's a little frog. It has to struggle to survive to live out here in the desert. I don't really need to eat it but hell, it's interesting TV....

Yeah great. If you don't really need to kill to survive because you are making a TV show and you are getting help anyway then why kill?

I hope it gave him the sh*ts.

While I agree its intedned to entertain it also claims to a degree to educate. If your going to present a show as if its presenting reality then you have an obligation to 1) let others know its NOT reality with a short disclaimer or 2) make sure it presents reality!

I'm all for drama and camera tricks, but don't give me those things under the ruse of truth.

In all honesty, your statement; "Whether you loved the show or hated it, whether you feel betrayed or not, it all boils down to entertainment. Did you get your moneys worth for your cable subscription by watching this show? The answer, since the show has obviously created enough buzz to enter the blogsphere, is probably a resounding yes." is very true.

Sure I felt betrayed, lied to, whatever, but in the end the show gave me entertainment, and it still entertains me to a decent extent. And that's what the show is meant to do, and in that sense its serving its purpose. Yet people are simply dissecting every bit of it to death when its only a TV show that is meant to entertain and really, do nothing more than that.

you ever notice how he really likes to take his clothes off for the camera, and get wet? showmanship at its murkiest. not surprising. i always wondered where his camera crew partied while he slept in a pile of his own poo. imagined they were off on the side chugging margaritas or sipping hot cocoa.
