Adios island time

Let me start by apologizing, yes yes I know I haven’t posted in well over a month and yes I know that’s blasphemous in the blogging world. So here it is, my sincere and heartfelt apology; I am sorry.

O.K now that that’s over I have some news to share. Drum roll please tatatatatatatatata

I AM LEAVING ST THOMAS.

GASP! Shock! SEIZUR! HURL! O.k well maybe not that last one but yes I am officially leaving St. Thomas. The ride has been fun but its time for me to step off this rollercoaster and go try another area of the park. For those of you who follow(ed) my blog and remember that I came down here to help open a restaurant I will ease your troubled minds with this…

That opportunity never worked out, and while I thought it was pretty much a done deal before I ventured down here I was mistaken, its o.k though because I’ve added another notch on the old board of “cool places I’ve lived and fun experiences I’ve had” That being said its definitely time to move on.

Move on I say? Well what in bloody hell does that entail?! Well let me tell you. I am going back to Northern VA (right outside of DC) and am heading back to school. I have 40 credit hours on my transcript at George Mason University and I well intend to add a few more and turn that into a degree (or two). My one way ticket home has been purchased and I am scheduled to fly out on the 19th. I’ll be making one stop in Puerto Rico (just a stop, not a connection) and then I will be off to DC, arriving shortly before 9 pm. There I will be expecting my ever loving and supportive family to be waiting with baited breath to pick me up.

From there, I’ll get settled in, reconnect with old friends and see where this next step takes me. It has been almost 3 years since I left VA and I’m actually looking forward to coming back.
