Youtubers

There’s plenty to say about this video, but at the moment its 5:54 AM here in Saint Thomas and I haven’t found my way to bed yet (I got lost somewhere between the frig and the computer I think…).

My best attempt at insight on this video, at this hour, with this lack of sleep, is this.

For the most part we create blogs, vlogs, personal websites, youtube accounts, myspace pages, facebook profiles, forums and the such not only for the obvious self expression we all seek but for the chance to reach out to others and find individuals we can share some sense of connection with. The net is a series of electrical connections. On a much deeper level however, it’s really just a complex overlapping entanglement of human interactions.

Rob I think this sums it up for me.

Herman Melville put it best when he said, “We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results.” A perfect description of blogging, don’t you think?

Great video but kinda made me feel alone.

I think the majority of people are alone, the truelly fortunate ones are those that find that ultimate connection.

    I liked that quote.

What if we all are a lot more connected than we believe we are? We somehow get this idea that we are all isolated individuals that are so separate from one another. We all want that connection so badly, but not when it comes time to hold ourselves accountable for any negativity we send out towards others, about ourselves, or them we are the first ones to assume that what we all do doesn’t affect anyone or anything but ourselves. It is our nature to connect, via a live connection and now an internet connection. We long to know that we aren’t alone and share all of our thoughts and feelings with others so that we can feel that we are connected. We are trying so hard to find these connections that already exist, but no one seems to want to trust in them. Every single thing we do or think about doing affects every other person and thing around us. We are already connected. I often wonder why that is so hard for us to believe. It is so much harder the way we think of things right now.

Connection through circumstance and cause & affect is diffrent then a deep connection based on the mingling of two personalities.

I am not referring to circumstance and cause and affect. I am talking about things that might sound silly to you, but thinking of us as more than just a bunch of separate brains and organs and more as us as a whole unified entity that is under the misconception that we are all disconnected. Most think that is a bunch of hogwash. I like to entertain that theory more than others myself.
