New theme

I decided to switch things up over here; at least visually that is.

I loaded a new theme called Smooth Dirt by Robert Day and started my editing process. So far I’ve changed the function of the Page. Categories & Archive links and messed around a little bit with the post and comment formating. Overall there is alot less editing needed on this theme as compared to my last one (cordobo green park) to make it something I’ll be content with.

It wasn’t so much that I didn’t like the other theme, I just wanted something a bit more simple and straight forward, something that will last a bit longer that I won’t tire of in a few weeks.

So anyway, if your on my RSS feed come on down and check out my new layout and let me know what you think.

    Glad you like the theme.

Good luck with your blog and whatever you do with it. Nice domain by the way ;)

I most definitively (I hate this word, one of the few I have to look up) like your new layout. I especially like the
At first I thought that you’d edited Cordobo Green Park, because of the green >>> thingies in the sidebar. As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve also moved away from cordobo. It was a great theme, but ultimately it looked too graphic-heavy for me. I suspect we had the exact same feeling, but we’re expressing it differently ;)
I fell for the “newspapery” feel of mine, though i’ve considered changing from white to a slightly grey background.
Also, the text on my page is grey, which is a definite no-no.

Is this a theme you’ve had made on commission, or a general download? I ask because Robert Day’s site seems to be down, and I’d like to take a look at it for reference.

Here’s a tip, by the way. If you haven’t done so already, you can edit the dashboard of the backend of your site. Of course, if you want you can completely redo the entire thing, but I haven’t bothered with that yet. I’ve however changed the RSS feeds that show up there. This page shows you how: http://www.lucidgreen.net/webbybooth/?p=16
Personally I have it set to BBC news and the Somethingawful.com RSS feed

HAHAAHAA! I just looked at Charm & rigor. His domain is an anagram of his name, so I looked up my own. Apart from many hilarious options, I got one result that translates from latin to “In this strife”

Hi! You mentioned trouble with the youtube videos in a comment over at my place. I can’t see any trouble with your site. None of the videos cover any text, as far as I can see.

I’ve submitted your site to the queue at browsershots.org.
Your site is at the following url
