HAhaha, I just noticed your comment! didn't see it before.
Thank you, that made my day (night, really)

The updated today was really easy. It's a plugin :)
I found it at http://insomniacsyndicate.net/speak/?page_id=19
However, since we're using this template, the plugin in its original state will place the updated today banner over where it says "mental dribble".
Fortunate for us, it's real easy to change; just open updated-today.php in your favourite notepad and under "function ck_wp_head ()", you find where it says "left: 0px;", and change it to "right: 0px;".
Of course, you will also have to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise, otherwise it will look *really* stupid :-D

With regards to the calendar, I don't know, but I looked into it.
Using my favourite mozilla plugin. which I recommend heartily if you use firefox (http://www.iosart.com/firefox/colorzilla/), I see the field is called table#wp-calendar...but I'm sorry to say that's how far I get...
Where is the calendar? I don't have one...or at least can't find it! Is this a plugin you have installed, or was it there when you started?

hi there!

sounds like you've got some exciting changes in your life ahead of you, and I must congratulate you on doing this. It sounds...for lack of a more descriptive word...*awesome*.

Now, you read my blog, huh? Thats pretty amazing, considering I myself started it just a couple of days ago...or was it yesterday?
The days have started to blur into eachother due to late nights...or early mornings.
I'm trying to get a friend to write some ramblings down there, if he wants to, I think it'll be interesting to see a blog-tool used by more than one person...

Also...is this design a rework of Green Park by Cordobo? If it is, then it's amazing! I've been trying to rework it myself, but the results are mediocre...if event that. (this attempt isn't on ad-fundum, btw)
Honestly, it's like seeing what I was trying to do :-)
(you can see my attempt at making it blue on http://fuaorg.uib.no/. Not my own site, but for the student council at my university..I'm also trying to use WP as a sort of regular CMS there)
Simple, yet smart move painting that left container-image. I might try doing something similar.

I notice a few things though: for instance the dark corners of the rounded corners. I suggest fidgeting with the palette transparency of the pictures in whatever image processing program you use. That should remove them...i think...
Another thing is of course the favicon.ico...it kinda stands out, being the original green :)

Anyway, good luck with the relocation. St.Thomas looks like paradise. I have a small dream of doing something similar one day.

Robert,
I think it's wonderful that you're are moving, clearing your head and starting over. It takes a lot of guts to get up and move like that.. and how amazing, to the Virigin Islands!! I'm jealous!! Maybe I'll have to fly out and visit :) I can just picture how beautiful it will be and how nice it will be to wake up to that every morning. I'm sure you'll feel refreshed! This will give you plenty of time to think about what you want, relax, and who knows... maybe (if you want) you'll even find love :)

I think it's important for any struggling actor in LA to get away, and clear their head. When I first thought of moving back home to Seattle, I was dreading it, I didnt want to at all. I felt like I hadnt given acting a full shot and I felt like I was failing, even though my plan is to move back to LA in February. Talking to my family and true friends, they all agreed that it's a great idea to move home, stay rent free at my dads and pay off my debt and clear my head so that I can come back out to LA and be focused. I even went through a fase where I didnt know if acting was what I really wanted after all... but now I realize, yes it is, I just lost my way...

Anyways. Good luck to you, Robert! I think this is an amazing opportunity! You will be missed :)

Rob! Did you know that we have known each other for 4 years! That's a pretty long time. Too bad you had to move to NY and then LA and now the Virgin Islands. Instead, you should definitely move back to Virginia. Sounds like an exciting oppurtunity though. Good luck!
